
Intended audience:
This class is designed for people who may need to perform CPR and use an
Automated External Debfibrillator (AED) in the workplace and are required to have a certification card. Examples are childcare providers, fitness trainers or life guards. This is not a class for Healthcare Providers.
Description:
CPR/AED training includes the first steps you need to take when you find an unresponsive victim (no breathing, no heartbeat.) Participants watch and practice skills with the video and assistance from the instructor. Skills are practiced on training manikins.
The AED is a small portable device used to check the heart rhythm on an unresponsive victim. AED skills are practiced using a trainer model. |

CPR skills include how to give effective rescue breaths, how to perform chest compressions, how to attach and use the AED trainer and how to
manage a choking victim.

Class fee: $ 50.00 - $90.00 Price dependent on components included.
Approximate class length: Length of class is dependent on components and skill level of participants. Class can be taught without AED practice session. This class may also be combined with Heartsaver First Aid or Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid or ASHI Basic First Aid.
Skills test must be passed for course completion card.
Completion card is good for two years.
