Intended audience:

This class is designed for a variety of licensed and certified professionals who are required by their employer to have a Healthcare Provider certification card. Examples include nurses, physicians, medical and nursing assistants, emergency medical technicians, dentists, dental assistants, physical and occupational therapists, medical and nursing students and police officers.

Description:

This is an initial class that covers the skills of CPR for victims of all ages. This class is also recommended if your CPR skills need to be updated. You will learn how to use an automated external defibrillator (AED) and how to relieve choking (foreign-body airway obstruction). The skills you learn in this course will enable you to recognize emergencies such as sudden cardiac arrest and how to respond to them.

Student to instructor ratio: 6:1

Class fee: $75.00

Approximate class length: 4 to 5 hours

Skills test and a written exam are required to pass the course.

Certification is good for two years.
